We created a club inside the stadium for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They sold ticket packages that (amungst other things) included hospitality venues like Club 39. Our job was to make a concrete warehouse feel like an up scale club. And, do it on a tight budget. Just got back from Houston working on the HP Storage conference. This was a fun project. The background for the stage was created using a flown grid wall of 1/8" plexi panels. That was then back lit with 54 Color Blast 12 LED light fixtures. The Color Blasts gave us a smooth wash and allowed for some nice transitions and smooth color fades. What a weekend, I was in Houston Friday through Sunday for an MLB Allstar Game party (Stuff XPO) then flew late Sunday to Chicago for a Nordstrom fashion show on Monday. By the time the Nordstrom show was over I had slept for only 4 hours of the past 60. Very tireing but, both events went very well and our clients were very complimentary. Well, I just finished yet another Nordstrom show, this one in DC. I have been designing lighting for Nordstrom events for over 10 years now. It's hard to believe sometimes. The shows don't change all that much. This one was at least interesting for the location. We were in the Mellon auditorium in the middle of the area known as Federal Triangle, right off the mall. I spent the last week in NYC at the wonderful Javits Center. I designed the lighting for the Warner Bros booth at Licensing 2004 and produced the unveiling of the new Batmobile for next summers movie. This was a fun project and the new Batmobile is really cool. I am looking forward to the movie as I got lots of inside info.
